Moxtek in Orem, UT is actively seeking a focused and detailed full-time Cleanroom Operator to operate semiconductor-type production equipment for our optics production. This manufacturing position earns a competitive wage of $15 to $17/hour. Based on quality of work, we offer quarterly increases for the first 24 months! After the first two years, annual increases are on the table. In optics production, you process parts at floor stations and perform the manufacturing of polarizers for our clients in the fields of medicine, safety & security, and projectors. You rotate workstations as production needs require. You load and unload glass wafers through optics production equipment and perform basic processes of manufacturing, including aluminizing, developing, patterning, etching, and cleaning. Ensuring quality metrics are met, you perform inspections and collect, evaluate, and record test data. Additionally, you assist with shipping preparation as well. Through working through established procedures, you identify and implement processes that improve our overall efficiency.   • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work with small parts
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, including wearing a bunny suit and working around production processes or equipment with various chemicals
  • May be required to work night or weekend shifts

Any experience in Semiconductor manufacturing is a plus! A technical certificate in Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, or Engineering is preferred, but not required. Do you have great communication skills, both verbal and written? If yes, we want to meet you!


With 12-hour shifts, either 6am - 6pm or 6pm to 6am, our Cleanroom Operators enjoy 3 or 4 days off each and every week. Schedule choices include Monday - Wednesday or Thursday - Friday, with alternating Sundays.
