Job Summary: Plans, organizes, and monitors Production activities to ensure that customer needs are met. Helps meet company's inventory goals. Utilizes ERP system for order processing, material management, and financial tracking.
Essential Functions:
- Establish priorities for manufacturing based on Production schedule and Sales forecast.
- Coordinate with Sales to plan for spikes in demand, special orders, or potential opportunities.
- Coordinates repair or replacement of returned materials.
- Create work orders and ensure the accuracy of inventory transaction in the ERP system.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory discrepancies in the ERP system.
- Maintain inventory levels for parts that require processing by an outside supplier, and create service purchase orders.
- Create part numbers and bills of material in ERP system.
- Establish and maintain settings for MRP or Kanban fulfillment.
- Monitor and adjust costed bills of material for sub-assemblies and finished goods in the ERP system.
- Provide Sales & Marketing with lead time information for customer demand.
- Gathering and posting of key production measurements, schedules, and rates.
- Additional tasks that may be assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years' experience in a production planning/materials control function or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hands-on experience in developing master production schedules and materials requirements plans.
- Demonstrated planning experience in support of high customer service levels in a complex supply chain environment.
- Current APICS CPIM certification preferred.

- Knowledge of VISUAL Manufacturing, or a similar ERP system.
- Solid Excel skills.
- Computer literacy applied to scheduling and data management
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form in English
- Solid time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
